		<description>I don&#039;t know anything about African charms, but a quick Google search pulled up some interesting sites on the subject. Meanings will vary by culture/tribe, so it&#039;s a pretty big subject!

Today, charms tend to have their own personal meaning for the wearer. For example, someone proud of their Irish heritage might have a 4-leaf clover charm to symbolize that pride. However, the 4-leaf clover&#039;s history goes back quite a ways, and is rooted in a desire for luck on behalf of the wearer.</description>
